Our history

It all started in 2022 when I was 17 years old and participated in the NASA Space Apps Challenge for the first time. We created a game that explains the variability of Cepheid stars. We won the local stage in Uberlândia and were named Global Nominees. After that, in 2023, Larissa Mello found my LinkedIn profile as the current champion of Uberlândia and invited me to join the Dust Trackers team. This time, we developed an AI prototype to detect mineral dust storms in advance in regions of North Africa—once again, we were named Global Nominees.

In 2024, I decided to form a stellar team with a very clear goal in mind: to be the first team from Uberlândia to make it to the top 40 finalists. The first recruit was Larissa, which required some convincing, but she eventually agreed. After her, we recruited Gustavo Ferreira, a standout programmer from our 2023 team. By June, we already had half of the team assembled. Then, Larissa recruited Ana Miziara for the project's creative department, Alailton as the technology leader, and finally, two weeks before the hackathon, I recruited Gustavo Antonio, a specialist in artificial intelligence development.

Today, looking at the results we achieved, I see that everything happened as it should, and all personalities fit together perfectly. To go far, we must work with complementary skills and aligned values!
